Accelerated Education Programs

We implement an Integrated inclusive primary and accelerated education for refugee and host community girls and boys in West Nile and South Western Uganda, in partnership with Save the Children and Education Cannot Wait (ECW).

This is an integrated school-based approach to providing equitable access in Accelerated Education Programs (AEP) as well as in Primary Education with a focus on quality teaching and learning, enhancing school-level child protection systems through reporting mechanisms and referral pathways and child protection sensitization and monitoring. There is a specific focus on supporting children with disabilities through close collaboration with Humanity and Inclusion and improving access to and retention of girls in primary education through sustainable Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) activities, both in the primary school and in the surrounding community.

Our activities feed into the Education In Emergencies(EiE) working group.
