Issa Matovu is an Education, Child Protection, and Safeguarding Specialist with over 6 years of experience in humanitarian emergencies, refugee response, and program management. Proven expertise in child rights advocacy, case management, safeguarding investigations, and multi-sectoral programming (Education, Child protection, Livelihood, WASH, GBV). Skilled in capacity building, inter-agency coordination, and emergency response across diverse settings, including DRC and South Sudanese refugee populations in Uganda.

Issa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies from Kyambogo University, with certificates in Best Interest Determination, Team Up, Safe Families, Safeguarding Investigation and Phycological First Aid.
